● Functional Medicine · Neural Therapy
A holistic approach to pain relief and healing.
Frequent muscle spasms, headaches, or pain? Or a condition like asthma, IBS, acne, or a lingering effect from a COVID-19 infection? You may be a candidate for neural therapy, a simple treatment that repairs the autonomic nervous system.
Repairs the ANS
Corrects imbalances in the
autonomic nervous system to allow the body to heal.
3 to 6 injections
Most people need a total of 3 to 6 injections, done in our office.
Minimal side effects
Often compared to the feeling of a mosquito bite.
No downtime
You won’t need to miss days or weeks of work.
● What Is the Autonomic Nervous System?
One signal, traveling the whole body.
The autonomic nervous system, or ANS, is part of your central nervous system. It controls bodily functions like breathing, digestion, immune function, circulation, hormone production, and temperature regulation, reaching every cell in your body.
When trauma occurs somewhere in the body, the ANS responds by increasing circulation to the area. If circulation doesn’t return to normal, interference fields can develop. The most common cause is scar tissue, damaged tissue that creates a signal in the ANS, which then travels through the body. This is how a scar in one area, like a C-section scar, can cause pain somewhere else entirely, like a migraine.

How It Works
Normalizing the electrical charge
Cells in an interference field carry an abnormal electrical charge, causing abnormal signals and ANS dysfunction. During treatment, a local anesthetic is injected into these abnormal cells, normalizing that charge. This helps cells work more efficiently, letting nutrients in and toxins out, decreasing pain and beginning the healing process.
The Process
What actually happens
The injection is done in our office using very fine needles to minimize discomfort. One or more injections may be needed to cover the affected area, with depth depending on where the interference field sits. After the scar tissue is injected, some anesthetic may also be injected into a vein to help stabilize the ANS.
● Good to Know
What to expect, honestly.
Does it hurt?
Many patients compare the feeling to a mosquito bite. Some experience more, depending on the thickness of scar tissue, sensitivity of the area, and depth of the injection.
Side effects
Usually minimal: minor bruising or injection site pain, occasional dizziness lasting a few minutes. As with any injection, there’s a small infection risk, minimized by sterile technique.
Who shouldn't receive it?
Consult your provider if you have medical conditions or take medications. Those allergic to anesthetics like procaine or lidocaine may not be candidates.
● Benefits
Chronic symptoms, addressed at the source.
Improved gut health
Can help alleviate symptoms of conditions like IBS, diarrhea, and related gastrointestinal issues.
Improved organ function
May lead to better overall health and relief from headaches, brain fog, and high blood pressure.
Relief of lymph congestion
Can help remove toxins, promote lymphatic healing, and relieve sinus conditions.
Less muscle & joint pain
Decreases swelling and reduces acute and chronic pain, helping some patients avoid surgery.
● Does Science Support It?
The research backs it up.
Published research has looked closely at neural therapy’s effects on chronic pain.
“Remarkable effects on the immune system”
Can help alleviate symptoms of conditions like IBS, diarrhea, and related gastrointestinal issues.
“Dramatic improvement and often complete cure of a patient’s long term pain”

Trigger Point Injections
Painful muscle spasms can reduce your ability to comfortably complete everyday tasks. Trigger point injections reduce muscle spasms and their associated pain, so you can feel comfortable again.
What They Are
Relief for tense, painful knots
Trigger point injections help relieve muscle pain in your legs, lower back, arms, neck, and other areas. They can ease tension headaches, fibromyalgia, and myofascial pain by relaxing painful, tense knots in your muscles, often containing a steroid and anesthetic for long-lasting relief.
Reduced musculoskeletal pain
Decrease in muscle tension
Improved mobility & range of motion
Fewer headaches
Better overall quality of life
What To Expect
Fast, guided, and low downtime
Your provider first reviews your medical history and examines the areas of tension and pain. During the procedure, a tiny needle is inserted into tight muscle fibers under ultrasound guidance, a fast process taking just a few minutes, virtually painless aside from a slight pinch.
You might experience temporary numbness or soreness afterward, but there’s no downtime. Immediate pain relief is common, with additional results appearing over the following days. A series of injections or maintenance treatments may be recommended for the best outcome.
